Basketball Life by Suzanne

Hi Everyone

Just  finished a blog and I'd used some awesome Memory Maze chipboard on this project so I thought I'd add it to the blog so everyone could see what I'd been up too

I created this canvas with a camera and a picture frame attached for an application to the Lindy's Stamp Gang Design Team a little while back and I've only just gotten around to adding it to my blog

The chipboard I used was Attitude in a circle and Square Mesh Grunge

This photo of my son was taken by a friend at our local basketball courts
Jack eat, sleeps and lives for his basketball

I started off with an old camera that was going in the bin of course I had to save it
I glued lots of different paper clay shapes over the camera then gessoed the whole thing
The frame was given to me in a box of mixed frames that someone was getting rid of I painted that with black gesso
The canvas was one I had done a SHE ART project on, it was sitting in the cupboard collecting dust so this project
is made up of recycled stuff

I started off with an old camera that was going in the bin of course I had to save it
I glued lots of different paper clay shapes over the camera then gessoed the whole thing

I used -  red hot poker orange and cattail copper brown from the Autumn Leaves Settweedle dee denim from the Mad Hatter Setbachelor button blue from the Prairie Wildflower Setsteampunk sepia and steel shimmer from the Industrial Chic Set and the clam bake beige from the Nantucket Pearls Set on the camera, all the embellishments and the background of the canvas
I wanted to have some string to my canvas so I added some water to the string then used the steel shimmer from the Industrial Chic Set to cover it completely then set it aside to dry
As you can see I used lots of different products from metal to chipboard  from Memory Maze and the Magical's show up awesome on all
different textures and mediums
I love how it went into the cracks that I created with some crackle paste
The canvas also had lace and other bits already glued down so when I sprayed the powders they spread so nicely into all the
crevasses and show up all the details

I also used Bavarian Blue Embossing Powder on the frame and the camera
On the camera I sprinkled the powder onto the wet gesso, it gives it a more mottled look
On the frame I used some versamark and a texture stamp so there was a bit of dimension to it

Thank you for visiting and I hope you will be back soon xxx
